Dear Parents/Carers

Firstly, I would like to congratulate all those pupils who have recently taken their music exams.  Results are out this week and we look forward to hearing how you got on!  Also, well done to all those pupils who graded with Heijoshin Jiu Jitsu last weekend, I hear that many of the children achieved scores of 90% and above.  A fantastic achievement!

Our joint Infant/Junior carol concert on Friday was a huge success and really got us in the festive spirit.  It was a pleasure to work with the infant school staff and children to put together this event.

The Christmas performances this week have been fantastic.  The children have worked really hard and I hope you have enjoyed the shows as much as we have.  Thank you again to our dedicated PTA team for giving up their time to provide refreshments at every show.

The children and staff really enjoyed getting together for Christmas lunch this week; a fun-filled lunchtime was had by all!

It has been noticed that several children have been arriving at school before 8.30am.  Both gates to the playground are open and supervised from 8.30am until 8.50am allowing the children to go to their classrooms where their teachers are waiting.  If your child arrives at the gate alone, please make it clear which gate you intend them to use. There have been some children arriving early at one entrance only to then walk around unsupervised to the other gate to attempt to gain entrance there.

A reminder that tomorrow (Friday 15th December) is Christmas jumper day in aid of Save the Children.

As this is our final newsletter for 2017, may I take this opportunity to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

School finishes at 1.30pm on Wednesday 20th December and pupils return to school on Thursday 4th January 2018.

Yours sincerely

Mrs Marsh (Acting Principal)
