Dear Parents/Carers

A huge thank you to our Pickhurst Academy friends and family for their support and attendance at the PTA Pick-Fest event.  It brought the whole community together and overall was a great success!

I am sure you will agree that the children got into the spirit of Pick-Fest and put on a stunning performance.  I would once again like to thank the PTA for their unwavering effort and hard work.

Our Year 6 pupils were visited by the London Borough of Bromley Road Safety Team this week.  We received the following feedback from the visiting speaker:-

“It was an absolute pleasure seeing your students this morning; each and every one of them should be congratulated for their impeccable behaviour”.

Well done Year 6.  I hope your child took time to talk to you about the visit and shared with you the topics covered.

May I once again remind all parents/carers to park considerately when dropping off or collecting their children.  There have been two incidents this week whereby a parent’s car was blocked in at the slip road and she was unable to leave with her poorly child until the other driver returned, and also where a delivery lorry had to abort his attempt to access the driveway as a car was parked on the zigzags and he was unable to manoeuvre around it.  Obviously, such an obstruction could also prevent emergency services reaching us if needed.  During the day, there is usually ample parking in the slip road and neighbouring roads, so please think carefully and considerately about where you leave your vehicle.

Many thanks,

Yours sincerely

Ms Anderson (Acting Principal)
