Dear Parents & Carers,
This week has been a busy week for the children; they have all participated in the NSPCC fundraising event – ‘The floor is Lava’, in their PE sessions. The children have had lots of fun taking part in this, and we are hoping to have raised lots of money for the NSPCC. Thank you for your generosity and continued support with these very worthwhile causes, it is always very much appreciated!
Y6 children have also had workshops, linked from the NSPCC fundraising events. The children have learnt and discussed some very important issues and, whilst it is sometimes upsetting to hear about, it is important we are preparing our young adults for the world they live in and how to best protect themselves from potential risks they may face. Well done to the children for their sensible and mature attitudes during these sessions.
You will also, hopefully, have received a new pack of letters relating to our wonderful after-school clubs. The letters should have gone home in your child’s bookbag, as well as electronic copies too. Please ensure you complete the forms, with payment, and hand them to the main school office if you are interested in signing your child up to any of our clubs. Many of the clubs have been overwhelmingly popular, especially our cooking club, and we are now fortunate enough to be offering three different sessions a week due to popular demand.
Thank you, once again, for all your support with this new project for the school. It has been fantastic to see so many children here in the evening, enjoying their extra-curricular studies and, more importantly, having fun!
We kindly ask that parents refrain from parking on the zig-zag lines , across residents driveways or on the grass verges.
May I also remind parents/carers to leave the playground promptly at the end of the day, for safeguarding as our children are still onsite for After School Clubs.
Have a lovely weekend!
