I do hope you all had a restful and enjoyable Easter holidays. It has been a great first week of the Summer Term, and I have enjoyed seeing the children settle back ready for the term ahead. As you know, it was St George’s Day on Tuesday and the children celebrated the day by dressing in their red & white outfits. I have been so impressed with the work produced by the children and the entries for my ‘St George & the Dragon’ competition. Please a snapshot of the entries below, and I will be announcing the three winners next week!
It has also been excellent to see the outdoor learning spaces being used now that the sun is shining! Now that we are in the summer term, we have Forest School, sports clubs, tennis, swimming and gardening clubs taking place. It will also be a busy term for trips- Y3 are going to London Zoo, Y4 have their exciting PGL residential trip, Y5 are visiting Roman Villas and Y6 will be travelling to Wales for their residential. I know they will all have a great time!
I would like to remind you that the school will be closed on the 6th May 2019 as it is Bank Holiday. In addition, the school will also, unfortunately, be closed to the children on the 23rd May 2019 due to the European Elections now confirmed to take place.
