Remote Learning
Remote Learning
If in the event the school closes, for example due to a national pandemic, we will put in place remote learning for your child. Please click on the image below to see our remote learning flow chart. It explains what provision the school will put in place for your child to continue their learning remotely from home.
Pupil Expectations
All pupils who are learning remotely will be expected to engage in the activities that we are providing – this is to ensure continuity and progress in the learning they are undertaking. Pupils will also be able to submit pieces of learning on Google Classroom (including pictures of their paper-based learning or digitally created learning). This will be reviewed and monitored by the class teacher.
Parent Support
We understand that supporting children with remote learning can be very challenging and places a tremendous burden on parents and carers, especially in families where there are multiple school-age children. The school intends to support you as much as it can. Parents and carers can contact their child’s class teacher either via class DoJo or by emailing the office on office@pickhurst.com. We are extremely grateful for your support in helping your child engage positively with our home learning.
